Dennis Shonko, raised in Narok-Kenya, is a writer, a social media marketer and has been in the teaching profession for many years. He has been teaching Swahili in Kenyan schools which have emerged top in National examinations. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Education (Swahili Language) at Kenyatta University. He’s very conversant with Swahili language and his zeal for the language has motivated him to write African literature in Swahili which includes novels, short stories, poetry and plays like Wimbi la Mabadiliko (2021).

Most of his poems have been published on Taifa Leo which is the leading Swahili newspaper in Kenya. In addition, Dennis reviews African creative arts on his African Literature blog.
