Wangechi Thiong’o is a teacher trainee pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Education at Chuka University, currently in her final year. She is an enthusiast of the African Culture and very passionate particularly on the languages. Coming from the Gikuyu community, she is very conversant and well endowed with the language. Her zeal for the language motivates her to teach it to those she interact with. This passion for the language and the culture at large is mostly influenced by her ability to make friends with the elderly who educate her on the same. Thiong’o is an eloquent speaker of Gikuyu and also a fine writer.  Combining these attributes with her already teaching career,she will most certainly make the best tutor for this particular language.
