Doreen Nyaga

Doreen Nyaga is a practicing Swahili and Religious Education teacher. Applying constructivist, collaborative, integrative, reflective and inquiry-based learning pedagogical approaches, Doreen has managed to guide students of varying academic capabilities achieve optimal learning outcomes. Passionately invested in literature especially the use of indigenous languages in writing, Doreen translated The Upright Revolution: Or Why Humans Walk Upright by acclaimed author Ngugi wa Thiongo, from English to her native language, Kiembu.

Her interest in research has seen her edit, contribute and write a number of peer reviewed papers, with her latest work focusing on African imagination of technology and environmental sustainability: An example of kikuyu and Luhya communities in Kenya
