Jack E. Odongo Ogembo

Jack Ogembo is an Associate Professor of Literature at the University of Kabianga. Before this, he was a Senior Lecturer at Maseno University, where he headed the Department of Language and Linguistics for many years. It is Moi University where he started his humble beginning as a Lecturer. Academically, he attained B.Ed, MA, and PhD degrees from the University of Nairobi, City University of New York and University of Cape Town respectively. He has deep research interest in cultural studies and theories of Literature. This is why his Doctorate thesis was entitled, “Art in Ethno medicine.” He has published many articles in Journals, and currently he is writing on ” Body as Text: Its militarization, Commercialization and Aesthetics in Contemporary Narratives.’ The writing workshop has come in at an opportune moment to boost his work in progress.
